Ripa is known for a wide range of roles, including Faith Fairfield on ABC's sitcom Hope & Faith and Hayley Vaughan in ABC's daytime soap series All My Children. Since 2001 she hosts a morning program called "Live With Kelly & Ryan". Alongside her husband Mark Consuelos, Ripa owns the New York-based production business, called Milojo. Kelly Maria Ripa, daughter of Esther Ripa and Joseph Ripa who was a bus driver's labor leader, was born and raised in Berlin, New Jersey. Ripa's older sister, Linda is a child's book writer. Ripa is Catholic. She has a father who has served in the position of Democratic County Clerk for Camden County since 2009, was born and raised there. She's also the first person in her family to pursue an acting business. As a young girl She began her ballet studies at age three. Additionally, she is a pianist. After graduating in Eastern Regional High School in New Jersey, Ripa was the cheerleader in the time she was in high school. When she was in high school her Drama teacher encouraged Ripa to become an actor. It was during her senior year of high school when she was a part of one of the local productions of "The Ugly Duckling". After that, she enrolled at Camden County College in order to pursue a degree in psychology. However, she moved to New York City.
