Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu is a voice actress singer and director. She is also an actor. A beautiful, smart and talented actress, she's a great example to Asian actors aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. After a series of appearances on popular television series her name was a household name for her role in the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. She translated her unexpected success into big screen roles in films like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. She delivered a stunning performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. In this period she was the main character in some failures on the box-office like Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role on the small screen on Cashmere Mafia did not produce anything of note. An appearance in the critically acclaimed police drama Southland has helped her regain recognition as a prominent actress. Liu chooses her roles with care to avoid becoming typecast in this competitive industry. While she embraces her roots however, this has not hindered her in her work being an artist.
