Lee
Lee Roy Selmon's story combines the football scholarship of his family as well as service to his community. In the first place the Selmons were brought up by Lucious as well as Jessie Selmon. They lived on the farm close to Eufala located in Oklahoma as the eldest of their nine children. The Selmons were also among the three siblings who represented Oklahoma in football. All three made All-America. They made the All-America team in 1973. Lee Roy and Lucious Jr. Dewey were the starters for one year. Lee Roy won the Outland and Lombardi Awards as the nation's top lineman. Over the course of three seasons, Roy played as a player, Oklahoma won two National Championships. The National Football Foundation named him a Scholar-Athlete for the third time in the year 1975. Selmon holds a bachelor's degree in education. Lee Roy's fourth time of service consisted of ten hours a week of volunteer time in the college. After graduation, he landed in Tampa played nine years with the Buccaneers was an all-pro three times before beginning his business career. In 1988, as an account representative at First Florida Bank of Tampa He was a member of the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. When he was playing college, he commanded the 1975 team. He was hired by the University of South Florida in 1993 as an Associate Director of Sports.
